I'm getting ready to do a bottom job on my trailer sailor that has a few blisters. Grinding and filling with epoxy. Can anyone suggest a good primer? I'm going to have to buy online because I live in the middle of nowhere.
To start with, multiple coats of an epoxy barrier coat. I've used Interlux 2000E. The more coats the better. Comes in white or gray. Do a Google search and all kinds of marine stores will come up, some offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount purchased. The bottom will have to be stripped to the gelcoat and sanded. Do it right, and you'll only have to do it once.
