Bottom painted boat today.Made these bunks to raise it 12" above bunks.Used 6x6's for main supports,cut 2x6's scribed to bottom,covered with 3/4 " stall mat[from my wife} she has horses.Used 4 1 -1/2 ton floor jacks on post. raised and then attached outer tripods with screws.More than enough room to lay on keel bunks to scrape and sand.Withstood 40 mph winds,and was in and out of boat many times.Very sturdy.Also 6 " pipe bolted to trailer stores mast,gin pole in winter,saves cushion in cabin.Made sunbrella cover for mast,and furled jib. Will probably work if I have to work on keel.

This is a great idea. Very simple. Thanks for posting. Perfect timing since just today I have prepped everything except what the bunks are covering.
