I have to Bottom Paint my O'day 25 it is on a roller trailer, I have never bottom painted a boat before but have sailed for years and am very crafty. Is there any advice that someone can impart to me to make the jod easier. I am planning on doing the job myself. I am using an ablative paint.

here's what I did

It is best to get it off the trailer. Dig a hole where the CB can drop full (about 2 feet). Bacl the boat over the hole. Put stands under the stern, tight. Raise the bow by cranking up the trailer jack. Put stands forward of the trailer axle as far forward as practicle. Raise them tight. Lower the trailer jack so the boat is on the stands and move the trailer as far forward as possible. Raise the trailer jack again until the forward stands go free. Move the stands forward and repeat until you can get the forward jack stands behind the axle of the trailer and after 6-8 goes at this you can pull the trailer out. Now the mess begins and you get the boat back on the trailer in reverse. On the other hand, you can go to a yard that will let you work and for about $250 they will lift your boat on and off the trailer.
