How long can you leave your boat in the water with out bottom paint and not cause any problems? I plan to leave it in the water from time to time, no longer than a month. If I paint it, what type of paint?

Should be fine

Just make sure you have good coat of wax on it. I left mine in the fresh water for a couple of months at a time but only in salt for a few weeks. I have the 23.5, it stays in the water all the time now and is bottom painted. You may get some yellowing....

Water temp/nutriants etc

I leave my 260 in the water for up to a week at a time. When I pull her out there is a build up of algea (black spot) and it does take a lot to clean it off. This is in a harbour that opens out to the sea. Keeping the bottom waxed is a sure way to ease the problem though.

Don't Leave too long

or you'll regret it. I left my new 240 in for two months and it was a major pain to scrap and scrub off the algea. The warmer the water gets, the more growth there will be and some will attach that is very difficult to scrub down. I'd recommend bottom paint. Everything sluffs off with ease once you've properly painted...

Not More Than a Couple of Weeks

It'll be easier to paint than to scrape it all off.
