i am new to the east coast and there seems to be a big disagreement on whether ablative or regular bottom paint is the best for east coast salt water. all ideas are welcome. mine is a 25'thanks
I sail an Oday 30 along the so. coast of Maine from May - October. I have had very good results with Trinidad red as it has the highest copper percentage. When I haul out in the fall I have very little growth that comes off easily with a pressure wash.
I used to own an ericson (or 2) and now I have a 22'OD and truly the cheap stuff at west marine is fine. The bottom is fine when you pull it out. Don't worry and don't spend extra. Ain't worth it.
