Macgregor 26S Grand Rivers, KY
Just purchased a Macgregor 26S that has been kept on its trailer and so has never been painted. We plan on keeping her in KY Lake at least until cold weather arrives. I've never dealt with paint on a trailerable boat. What do I need?

KY,

You can use a good ablative, one that will NOT go bad if left out of the water (on the trailer). Or you can go the way we did with CopperCoat. To see our reviews of it on our boat take a look at our Youtube page.

Ask the sailboat owners in your marina what they are using.

Here on Lake Ontario VC17m is very popular. It goes on easy, easy to clean up in the Spring, and gives a very slick bottom so you will sail faster.

Second VC 17

I've had VC 17 on a freshwater lake in Kansas for 25 years through two boats. Seems to work well on freshwater. And I'd like to think it helps me sail faster:)
