How important is bottom paint? My H23 sets in the building 360 days a year. The paint on the bottom is in bad shape, I have thought that since it never gets used I may just get some off the shelf paint just to make it look better. I could almost clean off what is left, Which ain't much, and be satisfied with the white. (I have only owned it 3 months the 360 may be a lil bit optimistic)..when there is a breeze there is no time, when there is not a breeze. there is no time. Thoughts/comments? thanks glide

sailing in fresh water? If so no real need for bottom paint. Especially if you take it out of the water when not sailing.

How often do you sail. Is the boat on the trailer or in a cradle on a boat lift? I am not sure as your description is confusing for some of us to respond to you better.

How often? Well I hope to get out a day or so every month or 2, not a good answer I know ...but that's the best I can hope for. Stored on trailer in garage, fresh water only, Thanks. glide

Ok. I understand you trailer launch the boat for a couple times per month in fresh water. Then I would not worry about bottom paint at all. I assume you are in the western part of Maryland? If anyone in a fresh water lake that has zebra mussles, please Clorox bath or clorine bath the hull and trailer before going south to use as you can spread them suckers easily in other southern fresh water lakes. IF going to the coast only in salt water, not an issue.
