Is there a non-toxic bottom paint? If so, how well does it work? I'd rather not continue to contribute cuprous oxide to lovely Lake Champlain and am willing to try alternatives. Thanks for any advice.
Hi There,Interlux used to make a Latex bottom paint that keeps fresh water algae and annimals from attaching themselves to the bottom.Happy Sailing Dave
If you got Practical Sailor, you could read last months issue which rated most of the current offerings. Interlux makes two versions of "Veridian" owner applied and boatyard applied. Both are silicone based. Also one called "Bye Bye Barnacle" from United Energy. Check out practical-sailor.com.
