I had a bottom job on my 27' hunter and when I went to pick it up; the tech told me he had put some speed slick on my prop and shaft. This would help the performance. Well since then I have a massive attack by critters on my prop and shaft. I have to go under every 7 - 10 days to scrape them off before the boat will even leave the dock. Anyone ever hear of this problem and if there is any way to repair with out pulling the boat out? I also heard that Teflon silicon grease on the prop and shaft helps keep it clean.

I haven't tried it but I've heard that Desitin or its generic equivalent zinc oxide creams can be slathered on the shaft and prop.. very temporary but may help. Select one of the generics that is very thick and goop it on after knocking the critters off. ?? I dunno

The "GOOP" does not last very long. Once you start spinning that prop/shaft it will be gone very soon. If you are not going to use the boat for a while you should not have many critters.
