Okay, so I pulled my boat out of a feresh water lake, it has a number of blisters on the keel of which I open up and sanded to let dry. Question- Since the keel is made of kelvar, do I need to do anything special to reseal this area? I am afreiad if i do not do it correctly, when I drop my boat back into now brackish water, that I may have a problem with the bottom paint peeling off or not resealing to the keel.
Anybody have an issue to share. I thought I would handle the repainting the same as if I had a lead or steel keel. If i sand it down completely, i need to seal coat and then bottom paint?
Thanks.
