I need to replace my dark blue boot stripe, does any one know where I can purchase the same color Hunter used on a 1990 H30? Thanks

Typically, the boot stripe on this age Hunters was cast into the gel coat and is not tape. If you want to restore it you can very lightly wet sand with 400 then 600 or finer wet-or dry paper; finish with automotive polishing compound and multiple coats of wax to restore the shine. The easiest way to change the color is to mask it off on the existing lines and paint over it with an appropriate boot stripe paint. The hull stripes and cabin stripes are 3M type tapes.

I bought a H320 in NC last winter and asked the yard to tape over the blue bootstripe because it had faded to the resonance of bad bluejeans. They restored instead and I have since used Island Girl to keep it blue. Try it.

Boot vs Shear Stripe
For what it's worth, the boot stripe is the stripe just above the waterline while the shear stripe is the one just below the deck. Standardly the boot stripe is gel coat while the shear stripe on many (all?) Hunters is self-adhesive tape. It really helps to use the proper terminology so everybody can be on the same sheet of music.
