Boy am I bored. Just sitting here waiting for the fog bank to roll out. Or burn off, which ever comes first. Had a nice restful night, since we stopped early yesterday. Was up and ready to leave this am right after first light. Damn fog just too thick to cross to the C&D. It's only about 4 miles from our anchorage, but across the shipping channel.Since I don't have radar on the boat, not going to get out there with them in this soup. So just sitting here waiting it out. Again, I want to say thanks for all the advice and encouragement. And the dinner invitations. KOOL This is a good bunch of people.

Northeast weather ...

You're getting nearly the full gamut! I hope you don't get hit with a snow storm before you're through with this region! Last night's rain should have revealed if you have any leaks to worry about ... if you didn't have any, there IS a silver lining! NOAA seems to indicate that you will have sunshine and favorable wind this afternoon! Good luck! from Scott on Lake Hopatcong PS ... you should be able to detect the nuclear glow a little better in the fog if there is a radiation danger nearby!

Still listen to the weather

The heavy winds here didn't come until after the low pressure and rain passed. Just read (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/SEVERE_WEATHER?SITE=7219&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2006-10-17-21-10-43) this morning that Tennesse had 106 mph winds. So just because the rain has passed, still be careful.

Please give location

OK using the maptech map server I found the upper end of Delaware bay and the entrance to the C+D canal. So you sailed down the coast and up Delaware Bay and will now take the ditch to the chesapeake bay. Then you will sail down the bay and get into the ditch to NC and farther south??? Or do you plan to go back out to sea around Moorehead City?? Fog seems to be everywhere. Pretty thick driving in to work in Birmingham ,Al this morning. Thanks for posting!!!! Tom

Phil had a good nights sleep because he was in the shadow of that Nuke Plant. Looks like he will have a few days of nice weather in the upper bay. Then colder this weekend. Good luck Phil. Enjoy your trip.
