Boomkicker

Can boomkickers on C30, 27, or 22 lift a man overboard out of the water using the boom system?? How about a large person weighted down with wet cold weather gear say about 330 total?

boomkicker is made to support the weight of the boom with two fiberglass rods which are flexed, it will not support you weight (that's my opinion) I have an outboard engine davit that I have rigged with a tackle for use as an emergency rescue lift. I love my boomkicker but I'm sure it won't support the boom and a man overboard.

If boomkicker = boomvang

and it is a rope system then yes it should easily support the weight. Check the manufacturer's load ratings for the allowable loads.

No way!!

Boomkickers won't bear that much weight by any stretch of the imagination. They simply weren't designed for it.
