Boomkicker on a trailer boat?

Last year we had the boat in the marina and I was convinced I should get a boom kicker.

This year we are sailing it out of our driveway - I'm wondering if that makes a difference. Does it add complexity to the rigging process? Is it worth it?

What are your experiences?

All you would need to do is slide the top out of the track on the boom when you take it off and put it back in when you rig. No real effort there.
