Installed my Boomkicker yesterday then had a beautiful sail. Very easy to install. I followed th instuctions and they were very accurate. I love the idea of eliminating my topping lift. It makes raising and dropping the sail so much easier, especially when I'm alone or short handed. Also, the boomkicker holds my boom above my bimini so it does not interfere with it. I love it, if you don't have one you should at least consider it. I only sailed in it once but I did notice a much better sail shape during various points of sail.

As you can see in the pics, they show the Boomkicker in its eased or released state as well as with tension on it.

It would be nice to hear from others who have boomkickers installed as to what they like and dislike about sailing with them.

Thanks,

I have a Boomkicker on my 240 and also love it for the same reasons - no topping lift (which also makes the cockpit more family friendly when raising or lowering the main) and it keeps the boom high enough that i can have the bimini open and sit on the stern rail seats.

I installed one on my 23.5 this year. No dislikes, only likes. Also, one less thing to mess with when reefing the main.
