I'm trying to keep the boom off my passenger's heads when I drop the main. If you have tried the Boomkicker please share your experiences. Their Web Site doesn't make many specific claims to base a purchase on.
I've used the boomkicker. It will hold up the boom with the mast dropped, but it's pretty springy. If you hit some chop, it can still find your head. Only real solution is to add a topping lift. Keep thinking about it but just haven't done it.
