I have purchased a boom vang for this boat. (It is my first sail boat.) How far out from the mask on the boom should the vang be attached? If I maintain a 45 degree angle, the vang will be about 10 inches. Is this really far enough to do any good? Why is the mailsheet control in the center of the boom? Can I move it the the end? Any advanage or disadvange?
