Boom Vang Strap (Hunter 19)

The owner’s manual says, “be careful not to lose the boom vang strap” while removing the mast step pin.

Can someone please send me a picture of what that strap looks like? It did not come with my boat and I would like to make one.

I have been using a carabiner (see pic, right side of step), but it is not very convenient. Thank you.

Looks like a similar mast base to our 260. The vang hinge is available here:

slides over the mast pin as you are inserting to raise the mast.
