In attempting to flatten out our mainsail we are considering a boom vang. My questions is this: On our boat the traveler sits at the forward end of the cockpit, and the main sheet attaches to the boom about midway along its length. How effective would a boom vang be? Thanx in advance, Gary Guisinger
