I set up my homemade boom tent/awning this morning for the first time. I have a batten under the aft end to push the sides out. That doesn't work too bad, but I think I can do better so I'll keep working on it. It started raining, so I didn't get to try it 90 degrees to the boom. That would make it shorter, but give more side coverage. It might work better that way. Anyway here's a picture of what I have so far. JerryA

Looks awesome, Jerry!

Jerry, This awning has picnic-time written all over it. Nice work! Mike G.

My attempt

I fixed up a tarp to make some anchor shade for my H216. See the link to the photo forum. But yours looks much nicer!!! Perhaps I will get some canvas cut to make a more attractive solution.

Some Ideas

Jeff, Thanks for the compliment. I got some of my ideas from your design. I'm trying to use bows of some design that will store in the boom. I've got some ideas to try this weekend. I'll put some pictures up if any of them work out. JerryA
