OK, first off I don't own a Catalina. I own a Morgan OI 30 and know that if I posted the question 'there' that I risk death by old age if I waited for an answer....so I know that the zilllion other nice Catalina owners might save me. I am reading Gui's book on sail trim and realize that after two great sailing seasons, my boom is 'messed up'. The rigging, outhaul, pulleys, guys etc. are almost in the sphegetti birdnest configuration. I have a traveler that goes across the cockpit midway. I am searching for a local pro but think I would do just as well with a few good photos of a correctly rigged boom from this forum. This could be a great post...Gui remarks in his book that half the outhauls are rigged improperly!...I know his boat is at risk of being top heavey already [from his big head] but the guy knows his stuff :D. So, will you [the one who has it right] PLEASE post a few shots of your boom, one of each side and the outhaul.
And anyone from any similar size boat is welcome to post pictures too. Thanks!

Hi, Boompa. It would be cool if you could post pictures of your current set-up.

Its 3F!

It might help but that won't happen until spring. The boat is covered and our winter is brutal. It would help more if someone could post a picture of their setup if its a similar boat [preferably from a warmer area]
