Boom mount

Last Friday while sailing in a brisk wind the bracket/mount for the boom to mast broke. Its a gimbal type mount that slides into the mast.The weld broke from the mast slide. I have all the piece's. I'd like to know what it's called so I can search for one. Also if anyone has any ideas as to replacing it verse's having it re-welded. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks MikeO'day 20

Gooseneck

Mike -That piece is called a gooseneck. I would suggest that you replace it as opposed to fixing it because the loads on it can be tremendous and you don't know if other parts of it may be fatigued. I would hit - www.odaysailboats.comJustin - O'day Owners' Web
