Is it possible to heighten the boom to acquire more headroom under the mast? Even if you have to refit the sail by buying a smaller sail. I am a new owner and new sailor and my sailor freind was hit by the mast changing sides in a 15 knot wind on the first sail. It looks as if you can move it up on the mast by redrilling the holes and lose very little sail, and then just always reef a small portion or refit with a little smaller sail without loosing much. Anyone have done this???
