Bomar Hatch supports

Hi Everyone
On my 37c the forward Bomar hatch (22"x22") has one support but has provision for two. Did these hatches originally come with two supports?

Both of the Bomar hatches on my '82 H30 have one support, but provision for support on both sides. I always assumed it was just for the flexibility to mount the support on either side. The hatches are pretty rigid. I've never sensed any need for more than one support.

If you need the support, Bomar will sell them to you, they are $88.00 each. If it is the same hatch as on my 1983 H31, the part number is P100-00.
