Now that I am doing all the wood inside the boat, I came to the head door; the barrel bolt (cylindrical, shaped like a cigar) is beyond repair
The door knobs are in great shape but I need this one piece
Where can I try?
The boat I have been canibalizing from a scrap yard has them, but they are worse, because the boat went totally under during Ike
The knobs are round on one side, and has a lever on the other side
I appreciate if you could again help... never been so needy in my life, but I will pass on to other dummies in time what I have learned

Head door

Not exactly sure what you are looking for. My head door has a dual slide bolt for locking from either side. But it is just a short slide, whole latch is only 1.5 inches square. Do any of these look like yours?: http://houseofantiquehardware.com/s...||4068190809&gclid=CPOU2avK9J4CFag65QodPGAWJA
Hello Ed,
No, it is not in any of the pictures.
I have the round knob that goes on one side of the door, and the small lever that goes on the other side
But the part I am looking for is the piece that goes inside the door, shaped like a cigar, and when turned, it locks then door; a bolt comes out of it and locks the door.
I don't have it here, but it is around 1/2" on diameter, about 3 inches long
When you turn the knob, the lond square iece turns and pushes this lock out, closing the door.
I will send a picture
Jorge

H33 door hardware.

Attached is the picture of Jorge's door dilemma. Looks like regular passage hardware should fit. This is totally different from my H37C hardware which is the simple Perko sliding bar, one on each side of the head door. I e-mailed him these links to some hardware sites:

I got hold of Perko and sent them a photo of the handle, they say it is not theirs
I will have to get to the boat over the weekend and see who makes that door dead bolt
Thanks anyway for the suggestion
Jorge
