I want to thank both of you for your responses.
**Project Mayhem, your suggestion to contact the DNR Public Records for the boat registration was genius and it worked! I was able to locate my beloved Whoopie! The guy who last registered the boat, still had it. He bought it at an auction and never sailed her! So he had everything from the anchors, sails, lines, masts... even the life jackets I had left with her when we donated her. And even more amazing, he was willing to sell her back to me! She was delivered here 7 days ago. I am thrilled and have already been working to clean her up. She had been sitting outside under trees who dropped leaves and sap and pollen on her for 13 plus years. I can't thank you enough for your help. This is the 3rd time I have purchased Whoopie!!
**Will Gilmore, you are correct. The boat in the two pictures do not look alike. However, they are the same boat. After many fun years sailing with a young family, I sold this boat in the early '70's because we outgrew her. We then purchased other, larger sailboats. I even built a 45' ferro-cement sailboat, the SummerBreeze, which is registered with the US Coast Guard. Her port of call is Marinette, WI. After selling SummerBreeze (she is still sailing) I purchased Whoopie for the 2nd time. That is when her appearance changed. I cut her cabin and pushed it to the stern 3 feet. Then using fiberglass, i filled in the gap. Now the cabin space is livable! Thus the stark difference in appearance. I am so excited to bring her back to life and sail her again. I am 88, not getting any younger - so now is the time! I have attached a picture of Whoopie taken last Saturday after she arrived home again.
