BoatUS/Geico insurance dissatisfaction - 2nd topic - agreed hull value

My agreed upon hull value has been the same for 11 years, this year it went down $2600. BoatUS/Geico would not budge on the agreed hull value. New standing rigging installed 2020 ($10K) BoatUS response: nope don't care that's "maintenance" doesn't increase the intricate value of the boat per the rep.

I'm going to shop my policy this year. They get another "F".

I don't generally defend INSC's but the boat is 11 years older. They pay a lot of attention to a boat's age. They don't want to pay a $20,000 claim on a $10,000 boat and neither would I if I were the INSC.

I think the message between the lines is "We don't want to insure your boat." but they will write a liability policy to cover ya.
