We sail on the upper Columbia River behind Grand Coolee Dam on Lake Roosevelt. As of today the river is down 59 feet. The drawdown is for the snow runoff and it raises hell with the boat launching. Monday it dropped 9 feet. We just finished painting our entire boat, re-rigged her, re-bedded all fittings and bought new deck shoes only to find out our rush was just for practice. The powers that be usually raise the water starting in mid May and once the level is above the -50 foot mark the launch ramps have enough water to launch. By July 1 the lake is fairly close to full. I guess we'll haul the "Crusty Crab" to Idaho for a couple of weeks before we go crazy after this long winter. Warm winds to all, Ray
