I recently bought a fiberglass 8' dingy from Boatex (located in Locust Hill, Ontario, Canada. I received the boat (very nice) but unfortunately the stainless steel keel and sail that were ordered, were not included. Repeated attempts to contact Rodger Pool at Boatex have failed. Has anyone had similar problems with Boatex and if so, how did you solve them? Thanks and have a nice day.

how did you pay for it ?

if you used a credit card stop payment (contest the charges) I promose that this will get there attention and it is also a service provided by the credit card company(consumers rigths) when you did not get what you paid for. (at least in the U.S-got to think Canada has similar laws) Hope you used a credit card !

S/S Keel?

Did your boat arrive with a stainless steel keel strip? They don't offer a s/s keel. I think the s/s keel strip is an option at $95 USD.

VISA is a no go

Hi Unfortunately VISA has a policy of not following up on a dispute if it is over 60 days past the posting date. Thus if the supplier (in this case Boatex) waits for more than 60 days, this avenue is not available. Thanks for the tip.

SS keel

Hi Yes. You are correct. It is a stainless steel keel strip. Should help reduce damage to the gel coat. Have a nice day.
