If im putting in a CD player will i need to install an electrial panal to control the power from the battery to the CD player and radio?

If you are planning to install a CD player, keep in mind that just the motor alone that spins the CD will draw from your battery, it's fine to run the CD when you are motoring, but when you are sailing and have the CD on you will be drawing alot from your battery pack. Give that issue some thought. Jim

Not really.
On a small boat you can wire direct to the battery or "buss" bars attached to the battery terminals. Remember to fuse the pos. lead and you may want to remove the fuse to keep the unit from draining the battery when away. I'd consider a small solar panel to keep battery topped off.
