can anyone give me a idea of what to expect as far as slip rental for a 40 foot sailboat with a 6.5 foot draft and a 13.5 foot beam in north eastern florida i will have to rent because my pocket book will not allow a $150,000 dollar parking space

Moor it

Mooring is roughly half the price and half the stress when pulling in. Don't know what the answer to your question is .. in the NE- dock ran about $90 per foot for the season.

Dockage rates

Hi there Tony. Here in Daytona, permanent dockage (meaning non-transient rates) usually runs anywhere from $5-11/ft per month, some more some less. But the big problem, down here at least, is availability. I luckily found a great slip over a year and a half ago when I bought my boat but I put my name on a few waiting lists while I was looking. I still haven't heard from those marinas. They told me at the time their waiting lists were 18-24 months long! You may want to try the local paper. More than one time in the Pennysaver I've seen private docks available up in Palm Coast for very reasonable rates. Good luck!

Tony, slip fees are 12-16/ft in St Augustine

The Anchorage Inn has slips available where I am docked for 12.50/ft. The marina is right across from the historic town and fort. No better venue in all of NE florida. Ted

Where do I sign up for that job?

Man, wouldn't that be great, Scub! Someone from out of state needs a full service marina for his 40 footer in Florida, is willing to pay all maintenance and marina fees and needs someone to sail his boat for him while he's away. It would be a tough job but someone would have to do it :)

Anchoring @ Whitney's

scuba01 In Whitney's add it says "Dinghy Access Fee For Anchored Vessels". How much room for anchoring is there and is there a mooring field?
