Tropics? Maybe a coconut floats by the raft. Its the tropics maybe you'll float near land - problem solved. Maybe you can swim to the bottom, retrieve a piece of coral to smash the bottle upon.

Ok really out on a limb? the raft has a tether or some other length of double braided dacron/polyester line? fashion a tourniquet with a single wrap of line around the bottle. The subsequent pressure would (hopefully) break the bottle. Now... what to use as a lever...

The key to survival at sea is fresh water. Best source of fressh water at sea is rain. Best way to gaurantee rain is to open a can of varnish. Therefore, always carry a can of varnish in your life raft or ditch bag.
