We were at the Chicago Strictly Sail and saw a product I forgot to pick up before I left. It was like a rubber tape that would be great for emergencies of all kinds to repair leaks in hoses, pipes ect. Very elastic, grips to itself and seals. Does anyone know contact information for this company? If only it would seal off the drool leaking from my chin while on the new boats.

could it be

rigging tape ? some are more "elastic" then others if not it sounds like you could be describing a special type of electrical splicing tape. Check any boat store for the rigging and and hardware store for the electrical tape. Just my guess

I thinkyou want the Atomic Tape. You can reach them by calling 516-435-5539. I got some of the tape at the Annapolis Show and it works well. Good luck

Rescue tape

The Rescue Tape, as Jim pointed out, is what was on sale at the Chicago show. It was $20 for three rolls.

Chicago Sail Tape

Thanks for the information. The lady demonstrating the tape, without saying a word, wrapped some around my finger as I walked by the booth! Hope you enjoy the product!

"Atomic Tape" Avilable at Home Depot

You can buy the same tape for a fraction of the price at home depot. I think I saw it in the plumbing section although it might have been in the paint section where most of the other tapes are. It's a self-amalgamating silicone tape.
