Welina me ke aloha

Time is getting short and I am really starting to get excited! The
Rendezvous is coming up and I've been able to get enough time away
from work to go!

I could use a little help though. I'll be flying into Seattle on
August 1st and I would like to hitch a boat ride to Lopez Island with
someone. Laura will be coming to Lopez Island from Victoria (She
wanted to spend a few days with her girlfriend) so it will be just me
and my sea bag. Last year we flew into Victoria and hooked up with
Gene and Trish Suess. I got a ride with Gene aboard Lorna Doone to
Pender Island and Laura drove over with Trish. I'd like to arrange
something similar this year. So does anyone sailing over from the US
side have room for one more crew?

Aloha kakou

Hi Chuck and Laura. We have a very sad tale to tell. We're not sure if we can
make it to the reunion this summer. I say not sure, because things always have
a way of changing at the last minute. Right now our son, Eric, has been
selected to play baseball on a select team at the BC Summer Games (mini-
Olympics) on the same weekend. There is a chance that we would split our
directions and one would follow our son and the other would go to Lopez, or
that his southpaw arm doesn't heal (it hurting now) and he won't play. We will
keep you posted as time goes by, but we can't commit at the moment. I know,
thats not fair after the beautiful write-up you just published on Lorna. Please
accept our apologies. Trish & Gene

Please allow me to make a little complain.
What is so special Albin Vega in your posting ?
Why don't you just send an ordinary private e-mail ?
I consider your postings as SPAM !!!
In my opinion there are much too many private e-mails in this group - I have joined it becouse I was thinking that here was postings about our interest : The Wonderful Albin Vega
Happy sailing

I'll speak to that.
If you are looking for files or information regarding the Vega, you can
check the main Yahoo Website or post an inquiry to the group. The reason
many of the e-mails have a personal tone is because many of us met at the
rendezvous last year. We not only share our interest in the Vega, but now
that we've met each other, we have had the opportunity to get to know one
another on a more personal level. I really enjoy the inquiries, discussion
and plain old gossip. Join us at the 2002 Rendezvous Mike and you'll see
that there is more to the west coast VEGAtarians than a little 'tinker'.

Cheers

Aloha Gene and Trish,

Good to hear form you. No sweat Gene, you folks were terrific to us last year and I wouldn't dream of imposing. Besides; family first I say. I played baseball when I was a kid and I know how important it can be (I still have my 1959 Brooklyn Dodgers cap). Take some photos of the game if you can, I'd like to see them.

Aloha,

Chuck and Laura

Hi Jim and Gloria,

I tried to reply privately using all three of my email servers but with no success so here's one last attempt going thru the group:

OK Jim, sounds like a plan. I am scheduled to arrive in Seattle at 12:33
on July 31st so you could pick me up on your way to Anacortes on the first
and I can help get the boat ready. Let me know what you'd like to do. My
air travel arrangements are pretty much engraved in stone at this point so,
depending on how you'd like to proceed, I can arange for accomodations in
Seattle or Anacortes as needed.Aloha,Chuck Rose

Hi, all...I just subscribed to this list, because I've been thinking about
an Albin Vega for my next boat. It sounds like y'all are having a
rendezvous in my area (Puget Sound). If so, I'd sure like to meet you on
the dock and get a look at your boats, not having seen one up close and
personal. If this is possible, can one of you fill me in on the details?

Hey ts:

The Rendezvous will take place on August 2,3,4 at Lopez Islander Marina.
Contact Judy at skipperjs@... for more details. I notice that there is
a Vega for sale in Pacific Yacthing. Is it a hassle to purchase in Canada?
Your dollar will go further.

Cheers
