After something around twenty years, I have made an interesting discovery. While using my boat pole to help me clean out the accumulated crud in the bottom of my anchor locker, I took special note of the red rubber tip on the pole. It had never occured to me before to question its purpose. I pulled it off and discovered it was protecting a threaded end. Now my question is, for what purpose? Are there a variety of accessories that can be screwed on to the end of the pole? And, if so, where do I get to see a selection of these accessories? Just when you think you have the answers to life's questions...they change the questions.

I think that those threads are used to attach things like a mop, deck brush etc.
