I am in the process of changing bottom paint from Triad to VC17. I have taken the bottom paint off. Do I need to replace a barrier coat? I sail on Lake Michigan for about 4.5 months per year. I was planning to not replace what seemed to be a barrier coat (black and thin coat) that was on the hull. Conrad
