If you pick a name off a list, just remember...

A zillion other boats have the same name or it wouldn't BE on a list. A boat name should be a personal thing--a name that expresses something about you and/or means something to you. For instance, a couple who both played horn in the NY Symphony named their boat "Toot Sweet." An anesthesiologist named his "Pain Killer"...some friends whose last name is Wright named their boat "Jus' Wright"...the list goes on and on...all original, all something that's personal to the owner. And in my experience, a boat will name itself, given the opportunity to do so. My late husband and I bought our first boat together before we'd even discussed getting married...it hadn't even been delivered into the slip before it became obvious that the ONLY thing we could name it was "Mine Too." :) The boat I bought several years after he died was "Solitaire"..for obvious reasons. So forget boat name lists...get to know your boat and find a name that means something to you.

I couldn't agree more with Peggy (NM)

I know there are different ways to look at it, but just use the lists that you are collecting to get you started thinking.....springboard off one of those, don't use an exact one of a list. Who knows....you might be slipped right next to each other one day! Good luck. Brad
