Irwin Citation 34 Corpus Christi
I want to transport my 34 foot sailboat from Corpus Christi to Florida. Can anyone in this forum recommend a transport company?

While I can't, you may want to consider an anecdotal incident. A Club mate acquired a boat in San Diego. He had it haul over the road to Maine, No problems until Massachuttes...( go figure) there the boat struck an overpass on the Mass Pike. Overpass was incorrectly marked for height and the lead car's overhead clearance indicator failed.

You may want to consider a delivery captain OR by water on a transport ship designed for this type of activity.

Precision Precision 28 St Augustine
I’m in the process now of preparing my 28 foot Precision to be shipped. She’s going from NJ to Fl, Im going with a company named Sailors Moving Sailors. I went with them because they only transport sailboats. They even have some kind of crane system on the trailer that removes the mast and resets it once delivered. Definitely not cheap but seems to be very knowledgeable. My boat is being picked up and delivered early November.

Your boat is much larger but they could probably handle it. They have a website if you want to check it out.

There's a guy down here in Stuart, Skipper's Shipper. BBB A+ rating and is a contributor to USS Center Martin County. I don't know him and I haven't used him. I've driven by his yard and he has the equipment. If I had to ship my boat from NY to here I probably would have used him. Thankfully I sold it first. I don't see a web site but I think there is a FB page (I don't do FB.)

Bavaria 38E Alamitos Bay
Not I. But I’ve inquired to yards where the boat may be decommissioned, and have gotten recommendations which I follow-up on. I moved my Pearson 30 from Saint Petersburg, FL to Long Beach about 21 yr ago; good price of only $3,000 piggy-backing with a another boat on the same trailer. (Price did not include yard fees.) Other than that I’ve priced moves out of LB & Ventura for the Bavaria using “recommendations” from the yards, but have not moved it. The beam of it (12.5 ft) adds a lot b/c it requires an escort vehicle in CA.:(

I suspect it would be cheaper to hire a delivery captain and sail it across. Is it seaworthy enough and equipped correctly to entertain that notion? Port of Corpus Christi to Port of Tampa is 870 nautical, which is 6 days at 6 knots. If a captain is $300 a day, and a crewmember is $125, that's about $2600, though I would add a day for a pre-voyage checkout.

You may want to check with your insurance company to see what your coverages are by both methods of transport.

You don't mention where in Florida - are you going to the panhandle? or to the East Coast? If your heading to the west coast consider a trip along the ICW. If your heading to the East Coast it adds quite a bit to the trip or the shipper makes more sense.

We used Spurgeon out of Stockton Lake. Might be out of his territory but they may know someone . Beware of the cost of deadheading.
