I have purchased a 1987 27' Catalina sailboat that did not come with the Catalina owners manual. Does anyone know where to find a manual? Thanks,

Owner's manual

I've got the original Catalina "Owner's Manual" or my '74 OB C27. It's really pretty generic and basic. You can get lots more good info on this site, or on Sailnet's catalina 27 list-serve. My printed manual is only slightly better than nothing. Don't know if a later model's might be better...

And the owner's manual, if you could call it one, is not worth photocopying. I think it is 6 pages long, with about 200 words per page. The engine manual was about twice as long as the boat manual. I agree with Peter - you will learn a lot more on this site than you would with the manual (unless the manual changed for the 87's).I got lucky - one of my neighboring slip mates has a C-27 and was nice enough to take me under his wing. C-27 owners are pretty friendly people from what I have observed. Check your dock and see if you can pick one of their brains.Of course, if you have any questions for this website, you'll find a bunch of people happy to help you.Best of Luck, and enjoy you new boat!Rob

Bob,I have a 1985 27' Tall Rig and it came with an owners manual(it is a bit dirty and dog eared) I have an inboard diesel.Would you like me to copy my manual and send it to you?
