I'm with RichH on suggesting to keep your boat close at hand over-winter. I've also got a 216, and keep it in the local fairgrounds barn to avoid straining the trailer with snow, and my back with cleanup. I'd also be concerned with the strain placed on the boat, depending on the support from your lift, considering winter weather may be harsher than summer, particularly right off the Atlantic. Better check your zoning prior to moving to your backyard as some locations have restrictions on just parking anything on your grass for extended periods.
