Boat Leak from up above.

I have water leaking into the boat from up above. Not sure if its a chainplate, a toe rail, a stanchion, etc. The water ultimately is leaking down into the cabin and setting under the couch or the lazirette as they call it. It is fresh water for sure, so its not salt water. The leak is on the starboard side of the boat only. I tried to figure out where the water is really coming from and I can't seem to pinpoint exactly. I thought it wouldn't hurt to rebed everything since I have never done it myself. I have rebedded a couple of stanchions before and its not that hard to do. How difficult is to recaulk a toe rail and/or a chainplate on a 1982 27' catalina? Thanks,

Fill it up with air

In Don Casey's book about sailboat maintenance, he presurezes the boat with a leaf blower and uses soap or snoop to find the air leaks on the deck. Might work if it doesn't blow out the windows.
