We're the 3rd owner of our current boat. The original owner had the order form from J Boats with all the available options. He ordered the boat with virtually every option except the carbon mast. He also had pictures of the boat at various stages of construction at the factory.
The second owner made numerous improvements - Leisure Furl boom, electric halyard wind, Espar heater, new sails... - and in most cases had the purchase orders and receipts.
We have documentation of almost everything that either came with the boat, or was added at some point by the 1st two owners. It's great reference material, and interesting to see when things were added and how much some things cost.
