I'm looking for another sailboat and am wondering if it would be appropriate to post some sale listings and get opinions?
I currently have an Oday 28, which my family of 3 uses for cruising. We are thinking of donating the boat to St Micheals M M. The boat is actually in nice shape, new this year sails, roller furling, autopilot, cushions. But the outboard(maxed a 5 knts noisey), and lack of storage cabinets, has us looking for the following anywhere in the Chesapeake;

Any year, if sound, 32-36' shoal draft
diesel
traveler above the companion way
wheel steering

Storage cabinets, drawers galore
big c*ckpit
furling
priced under 40k

I looked at an Irwin citation34 this week end, would buy it (loved the layout)but I saw rot around the cabin ports. I'm not afraid of work but there is probablly more rot that I couldn't see.

I think it would be fine to direct us to boats you are considering, but the real decision is up to Phil.

Good move on the Citation. You might find a Cataline 34 in that price range, but I am not sure it came as a shoal draft. The old Pearson 34 came with a shoal draft/centerboard.

Thanks guys, maybe I should pm Phil. I'm afraid that Hunter is a little large for my slip, but nice. I'd have to go the Delaware Bay home, which I swore I'd never do again. ;)
