boat ballance

I'm thinking of moving my battery from the starboard compartment to the port side compartment just fore of the cooler position in my 23.5. with the weight of a 70 lb. AGM battery, 3gal fuel tank & 75lb outboard all on the starboard side the boat lists about 2 degrees even with the cooler and water tank full. I've sailed the boat for 5 years and can't see any reason this would cause a problem, other than re-working the bilge pump a bit, but I wanted to check with others first.

It will not really affect performance with the wieght on that side but just looks funny leaning over. If you can, move gear over first. Keep the gas in the gas locker my friend. If moving the battery, you run into the cost of the battery cable which isnot cheap.

I remember when I pulled the very first 23.5 from the factory as they were watching what I would do with it. I must have sold 50 the first year.
