Thanks to Dr. Boat Babe, the original, without whom there would be no thread at all! By the way, you are a REAL Boat Babe. All the rest are man-made imitations!! As far as the refit, I took Ron's advice and used Velcro so I could reposition for a variety of functions! Now I am working on ballast and flotation....

OK Doc Babe. You are the queen of SBO but I'm doing my best with "And so it begins" thread which is about a madmans quest to perfectly restore a 1976 Oday 27. With a bit over 34,000 views in a year and a half in another 40 years I should catch up. Great thread you have here. Babes beat boats everytime.

My Crew grows

Just wanted to keep everyone aprised of how my crew search is going. I have decided on a uniform which is being modled by the crewman (crewwoman?) on the left. I love the matching suit and gloves. I have brought on board these three others to be able bodied sea-persons. Should that be seamen or seawomen?

Sad day on this thread

While at first when I found this postings it was fun to see "the boat babe" and which bathing suit she would have on next. Her stories of their trip on "Empty Pockets" were fun to read. Its sad that some think this thread was about any else. Steph, I miss your post and think that your boat should be out of dry dock by now. and I hope to see some new pictures of Empty Pockets.

Cheers
The guy from Dallas :)

Dentonflyer,

No one is more disappointed than me (or maybe Brian) that Empty Pocket is in fact still up on the hard. We miss our sailing adventures tremendously. Luckily, we are scheduled for a trip to the Bahamas in July...and based on the ocean temp in St. Augustine, we will be back out surfing as soon as Brian gets back in town. Hopefully he will pick up his camera soon and prove to you that I still slip on the wide variety of bikinis!!!
Keep the faith!!
Boat Babe!

Accept no substitutions

Steph, you are the original. The rest of this is just a way to pass the time until you are up and running again!!! Please do not think that these are replacements... You are still #1

By the way, don't you have a pair of shorts like these?

Empty Pocket Redeaux

Solar Stik Inc. is, unfortunately, a very needy child... BUT, progress is being made on Empty Pocket. When complete, she will probably be one of the most advanced "Pocket Cruisers" afloat... it is undergoing an amazing overhaul. The boat is in the care of John & Warren Luhrs (yup, the owners of Hunter Sailboats) at their St. Augustine Marine facility, so she is getting the same personal attention as from a loving grandfather!

I have to admit... even I am a bit blown away at the transformation.

Full details... soon!
