thanks for the replies, is the construction quality (integrity)of the Catalina 28 ,28mkII good enough to with stand the rigors of offshore use?? in heavy weather??? if not , give some reasons why...

I own one

I have a 96 cat 28. Never have done any blue water, but plan to trailer to San Juans next summer. The boat is rock solid and I don't have any hesitations about being in that environment.
