Does anyone have any real world experience? Youtube video's show it running RV's. Looks like an easy solution for a lot of problems.

It doesn’t look very powerful to me, I am looking at installing a system that will have 10 lithium batteries and charged with 4 solar panels and 2 windmills and I will have enough power to run my boat with electric motor!!!

All I see is a 2k watt inverter and solar panels that could produce 120 watts (10 amps) at around mid day with no clouds and less on either side.
I guess it might be sufficient for a smaller, non-liveaboard boat, but pretty expensive.

I don't know how much research you've done into windgens, but our real world experience has shown us an average out put on a good, 5 blade $2000.00 unit is less than 1/8 amp average per hour, over a year. I'm seeing fewer and fewer on boats as they wear out and the mount sits forlornly on the mizzen or stern awaiting a new unit which may never come.

I’m curious about what problems you feel a device like this would solve? :)

If you have a large enough boat the common approach would be to have a “house bank” and related re-charging capability to handle your electrical needs, so a device like this would seem redundant.

This would be portable so you could use it on your boat, then take it camping etc where people might want a quiet alternative to a gas generator but then you are into battery management and duty cycle lifespan vs fuel management and engine maintenance.

I t looks to be a nice unit for camping, but would be a pain to store and use on a boat. I'm happy with my 4 golf cart batteries and 320W solar panels that meet all our boat's needs and allow us to charge our Torqeedo outboard.

Sam’s Club has a Honda knock-off generator for about $389.

if I was worried about having some way to charge my batts in an emergency, this is what I would do.
