Blue color stripe above the water line

Hi, I have to refit the blue stripe above the waterline on my H340 (2002). Ist the original a blue gelcoat or a painting?
What is a good color for paint it (1K International Super gloss? Toplac? or 2K International Perfect?) - or a other brand?

how about vinyle wrap??.....seams to last on commercial trucks

Vinyl "wrap" works for me. Old sign guy that did my lettering had the balance of the roll of vinyl. Cut it into 2 1/8" strips and applied to sheer and boot, covering old, nasty painted stripes. Eight years on and still looks good, except for gashes and nick's to be expected. Repairs are simply a patch over with spare "tape"
