So, long weekend coming up in Canada. Next question. Why is there a blower fitted on Hunters with diesel engines; is it necessary or is it just a throwback to the days of gasoline engines? Best regards to all. NO BEERS ON THIS! John

Not necessary, but I use it after motoring...

to get rid of the engine diesel smell. abe

like the smell of diesel. guess you're breaking the rules (per your bow thruster post)

It also helps to get the heat from the engine out of the boat

To Remove heat and smell

I turn on my blow when ever I am running the engine,its not really needed like in a gas engine no dangerous vapors but it makes the wife happy when we use it because its there so she thinks it should always be used,no big deal to flip it on. It does a good job removing any diesel smell.
