Block Island trip

Hi everyone!
I'm planning a BI trip in September (weather permitting) on my O'day 23. I know the island very well, used to be a dockhand at Champlins, but it will be my first time sailing there. Anyone have any advice?

Yeah...

...if you want to get a mooring, get there before all the wretched powerboaters. Anchoring there is akin to participating in the moron olympics.

It never fails; you set your hook with the proper scope and a powerboater will inevitably drop his five feet away from you.
